Assembler

Peoplelink is in partnership with a prominent client in the manufacturing industry. This company is a fast growing innerconnect contract manufacturer hiring a reliable, hard working assembler.

Assembler Shift:

• 1st shift
• Starting at 14.00 an hour

Assembler Job Summary:

• Read and follow wire harness/ cable assembly instructions.
• Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment (such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire stripers).
• Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures.
• Use a soldering iron to solder wires to connectors.

Assembler Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous assembly/ production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and excellent hand dexterity
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Assembler Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/ or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
• Ability o distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly purposes
• Handle small parts
• Perform pull/push monitors up to 10 pounds frequently
